Chapter 4.1

"This is hopeless....."
"No, it's just tedious...."
"Too tedious for me."
"Get over it."
"Can we at least check the news?"
"Ugh, fine...." Dennis said, walking back to the truck and pulling out a small portable TV. He flipped a switch and the screen flickered on, showing a field of static, "Oh c'mon....ugh..."
"Give me that!" Marv said, snatching the TV from Dennis and turning the dials. Various channels flashed on-screen. 64, 56, 28, 25, 15, 12-
"Stop....that's channel 12 news...."
"Yeah, but it's doing the weather right now..." Marv said, turning the dial again. 10-
"Wait! Look..." Dennis breathed. The picture of a building with a busted up roof moved across the screen with the words 'Cafeteria Destroyed after Strange Happening'.
"Turn it up!" Dennis exclaimed. Marv quickly turned the volume dial to the max.
"...authorities still aren't sure exactly what happened here at Westport High today. Witnesses say that they saw a fellow student, Bonnie Cohen, grow to 100 feet tall and burst out of the cafeteria, then stomp off down the road. What's unsettling about these claims is the fact that there are massive footprints leading out of the wreckage and down the road. The Channel 10 news team will continue to cover this story-" Marv switched off the TV.
"Fuck." they both said.

"I can't believe that really just happened...." Kevyn breathed, sitting on Bonnie's shoulder. Josh laughed from her opposite one.
"Same here buddy." he said, scratching his chin. Bonnie giggled.
"So....now what?"
"Well, we should try to figure out a way to get you back to normal...."
"And exactly how do we do that?" Josh interjected.
"I'm guessing that the government is looking for this device..." Kevyn said, taking the device from his pocket, "But when Bonnie was growing, I got caught in the crowd and fell....and..."
"Busted?" Josh asked.
"Yeah. It won't even turn on."
"Can I see it?"
"Sure." Kevyn said, tossing the ray over to Josh. He examined it, then popped open a small hatch on the side with his fingernail.
"Hmm, I see...."
"What'd you find?" Bonnie asked, her eyes looming over Josh's shoulder.
"It's got an SD card in it...." Josh said, pulling the chip out. He looked it over and sighed, "No damage....but I have no idea why there'd be an SD card in a device like this..."
"Well, if we head back to my house, we can-" Kevyn was cut off as something hit him square between the eyes. He fell backwards and grabbed onto Bonnie's shirt to keep from falling.
"I had to see it to believe it," A voice from down by Bonnie's feet rang out, "And I'm not surprised that you're here. Nope, not at all." A kid with brown hair wearing a grey Aeropostale zippered sweatshirt and a pair of denim jeans walked out from behind Bonnie's shoe.
"Dan." Kevyn sighed, climbing back onto Bonnie's shoulder.
"Dan!" Bonnie yelled, picking him up by the collar and placing him in her hand. Bonnie took Dan up in a literally giant hug before putting him down in her hand.
"Whoa....Jesus....this is odder than I thought...." Dan breathed, trying to keep his balance. “One good thing Bonnie, this made your boobs AMAZING!” Dan joked.
“Aww thanks Dan” She said in her kitty voice. Dan looked up at Bonnie, then to Josh, then to Kevyn, "Now don't tell me.....Kevyn somehow got a hold of some sort of growth ray and took the opportunity to zap Bonnie, because let’s be honest …she’s hot, causing her to grow to this size. Then, because he's so fucking predictable, he managed to break the fucking thing so you can't get her back to fucking normal. Am I right?"
"Damn he's good." Josh said, smirking.
"Thank you. Years of practice..." Dan replied.
"And it helps that I tell you things." Kevyn commented, "How'd you find us?"
"I think the huge-ass footprints in the road would've helped." Bonnie chuckled.
"Speaking of huge ass…” Dan leaned over to get a better look at Bonnie’s backside and she giggled. “Which reminds me, the news team is headed this way...so if you're gonna be moving, I'd do it now..." Dan said.
